ccording to WHO (World Health Organization), only about 10-25% of pharmaceutical waste is infectious waste. For example, needles, scalpels, used cotton swabs, used bandages, human tissues, organs, animal carcasses, etc. These infectious wastes pose a potential risk to human health or the environment and therefore require special treatment. Most 75-90% are harmless general waste. For example, office paper, wrapping paper, kitchen waste and so on that have not been in contact with patients. Both safe disposal of hazardous parts of pharmaceutical waste and recovery of harmless pharmaceutical waste shredders can effectively reduce the size of waste for further treatment.
